"The Land Between Two Waters"


The Eastern Shore of Virginia is comprised of two counties, Accomack and Northampton located at the southern tip
of the Delmarva Peninisula on the East Coast of the United States.

Nicknamed "The Land Between Two Waters", visitors to the area are afforded the unique opportunity to be within
only a few miles of both the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean!

The Eastern Shore of Virginia is less than 20 miles wide at its broadest point, 75 miles long and is split down the middle
by Route 13, providing easy access to many of the picturesque towns that populate the area. It is home to
approximately 696 square miles of rich farmland, undisturbed beaches and wildlife, and small towns rich in
history and culture. Conveniently situated, many larger East Coast cities are within short day trips, including
Baltimore, MD (140 miles), Norfolk, VA (45 miles), Washington, D.C. (150 miles), and Richmond, VA (125 miles).
